How do I become a member of U3A Granite Belt?

Step one - check us out

  • Prospective members are encouraged to attend U3A activities of interest

  • You are invited to attend up to three sessions free of charge to ‘try before you buy’

Step two - fill out an application form

  • You’ve attended a few sessions, met a few members, and made your decision to join

  • Download the membership application form

  • Ask two current U3A members to support your application

  • Complete the form in full and forward to the U3A Granite Belt Secretary

Step three - your application is processed

  • Upon receipt of the completed membership form, the Secretary provides relevant information to the Management Committee for their consideration

  • The Management Committee considers your membership application

Step four - notice in writing

  • Management Committee advises the outcome of their vote to the Secretary

  • Our Secretary will provide you with a Welcome Letter which includes membership payment details and the latest newsletter

Step five - let the activities commence

  • Take part in your chosen activities and enjoy being a member of U3A Granite Belt

How much is membership?

The initial joining fee is $50.00 which covers membership and a U3A name badge, and thereafter membership is $35 annually.

New members joining after 30 June pay $40 for membership and name badge.

How do I receive newsletters?

We encourage members to consider the environment and receive their newsletters via email. Postage can be arranged for $11 extra per year.

How do I enrol in a class or activity?

Our facilitators coordinate participant lists. Please contact the facilitator for your chosen activity by referring to page 6 of our latest newsletter.

Did I hear correctly…there are online classes?

U3A Online offers numerous independent study courses you can complete in your own time and at your own pace. From Australian History to What is Wisdom?, U3A Online is free for fully paid members.
